Butch

Butch's original form before being given cyborg upgrades

Butch is a minor character who first appears in chapter 4 of the manga and episode 36 of the anime. He is an orphan stray kitten who caretakes the other stray kittens after their families were killed by Dr. Whitewoods' cyborg dog army. After Kuro saves him from a dog attack, Butch requests help to stop Whitewoods and his dogs which does not go to plan.

After an injured Kuro takes the kittens to Dr Go, he agrees to help out by giving the kittens cybernetic upgrades, with Butch now having a drill hand. With backup from Dr Go and Mi (Kotaro helps but in the anime version only) they blast through Whitewood's base and stop his cyborg dogs.

Butch also appears in the 2nd Gameboy Colour game, which has a story using elements from his original appearance.
